This
Program is designed to prepare you for job in Audio for
Post Production. This includes Audio for Video, Audio
for Film, Audio for Websites, and Audio for Games.
Day
Classes
Classes are 4 days per week to be scheduled.
Classes are normally 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM.
Labs are normally 10 AM - 4 PM.
Night Classes
Classes are 4 nights per week to be scheduled.
Classes are normally 6:30 - 10 PM.
Labs are normally 6 PM to midnight.
Size
Classes are limited to 25 people, so classes are small enough to address specific
questions and concerns of each student. (although classes are normally around
10 people). Classes are broken into groups of 2 for labs.

Audio
for Film and TV 1
Recording, spotting and mixing audio and sound effects
for Video and Film. An introduction to sound design
is presented and students are required to create
sounds for a cartoon. Topics such as sync and software
used to compose for film is discussed. Finally,
use of loops and music beds are explained and students
are required to put together audio for a short cartoon
using Pro Tools, loops and music libraries. Advanced Recording, spotting and mixing audio and
sound effects for Video and Film. More advanced
sound design techniques are discussed. Students
are required to do a sound design for a short film.
More advanced compositional techniques for film
are discussed and students are required to compose
for a short film. Things such as cue points and
scoring is discussed.

for the Internet and Games
Recording, spotting and mixing audio and sound effects
for Websites. Different software for placing sound
in websites, or allowing users to download music.
Using sound design techniques from the prior two
classes specific responsibilities relating to the
websites are discussed. Students are required to
put together sound effects for a website. Using sound design techniques from the
prior two classes specific responsibilities relating
to video games are discussed. Students are required
to put together sound effects for a video game.
